Baby Dade

I had to meet Dad in Winchester for a followup doctor appt and while there we picked up my niece Megan and her baby boy Dade. I took some pictures of him in January and he has grown so much since then.

He loved laying on his belly, he cooed and talked, and can *almost* get his head all the way up. He's still a little guy, he's almost 4 months and just a little over 11 pounds, but he's a handful of preciousness.

Sweet Dreams

Either Ryan or I lay down with the kids to read to them when they go to bed. They they have been wanting us to stay laying down with them as they go to sleep. Some nights we do, some we don't. If we lay with them they are usually asleep within in 5 minutes, if we don't it could take up to an hour or more unless they are really sleepy.

I laid down with them and read to them tonight, but then they wanted Daddy to lay with them as they went to sleep. He was out before they were!! I went to check on them later and this is what I found. (and yes, they have toddler beds so when we lay with them our feet are hanging over!) They so love snuggling up with Daddy! :D

Broken lens

I broke one of my lenses today....the kit lens 18-55mm. I'm so bummed, I was planning on taking some pics of my great nephew tomorrow. I have my 50mm but sometimes it's too large, especially for closeups. Ugggh!

I had just came inside from taking some pictures and took my camera into the bedroom and laid it on the dresser. I changed clothes and picked up my camera to head out to the computer to look up some directions and upload my pictures to my computer. I picked it up quickly by the body and as I lifted it the strap wrapped around the dresser drawer knob and it jerked out of my hands and fell, hitting the vacuum cleaner sitting there. I figured it would be ok (I've dropped it before), but not this time. The lens is locked up, visibly crooked.

Good news is that the camera seems to be fine, and I have insurance on everything. I guess I'll call tomorrow and see what I need to do. I still need to add my 50mm to the policy, I've been meaning too, and now is just as good a time as any!

Random Photos

I'm always looking for things to take photos of, and this is what I took today. I'm also entering a contest at the end of the month (farm related) so I thought the first one may work for farm landscape. I'm going to keep looking though. :)

Wandering the Woods, with Mo

I walked with Caleb H. and my Caleb back in the woods behind Mona's house the other evening. It's beautiful back there, and it had been raining so everything was fresh and clean. Of course I took the opportunity to take some photos. :) Caleb had to bring his long lost toy Mo with him...just returned to him minutes before we took our walk. :)

All of the other flowers I have posted this year are perennials and just show up every spring. Today we bought and planted a few annuals.

Double Scoop Please!

Today I walked into the kitchen and saw Abigail handing Caleb an "ice cream cone" (play food) out the kitchen window. It was so cute. He ordered his ice cream, she gave him the cone, and his "payment" was 1 - Fred (Scooby Doo charachter figure). Sooooo cute! I had them reenact it for pictures, but then they kind of played shy. :)

Planting onions

DH planted onions today with the help of Abigail & Caleb. They weren't into it at first, but then decided they wanted to help, at least for a few minutes. Ahhh..the attention span of 4 year olds! :)

Flowers

New flowers are blooming around here every day. I'm loving seeing the all the beautiful colors, even if I don't know what kind of flower they are (like the first one, growing in the woods, on low bushes or taller than me small trees).
